Phonics

At our school, we use the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme, developed by Ruth Miskin Training, to teach early reading and writing skills. This highly successful, structured approach helps children learn the sounds in words (phonics), how to blend these sounds to read words, and how to spell accurately by segmenting words into sounds.

Through daily phonics sessions, children develop fluency, comprehension and confidence, setting strong foundations for future reading success. The programme also helps to foster a lifelong love of reading by introducing children to engaging stories, imaginative language, and books that match their developing ability.
